CPNA Monthly Meeting

  • 07 Feb 2011
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • College Park Community Center, 2393 Elizabeth Avenue (behind Princeton Elementary)

Everyone that lives, works, plays, or simply loves College Park is welcome to come out and join us for our monthly meeting.

We hold our monthly meetings, unless otherwise posted, on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 PM at the College Park Community Center, 2393 Elizabeth Avenue (behind Princeton Elementary).

This Month's Special Presentations:

An Update on the Lymmo Study

The city of Orlando has been researching various possibilities related to the expansion of the downtown Lymmo bus system - included in these plans is both an East-West connector and a North-South connector. The goal of the expansion is to provide greater access to the various downtown neighborhoods and ease of transit within the city. Last October CPNA was presented with plans related to the expansion and an opportunity for individuals to share their opinion about the expansion in the form of a brief survey. This month, we will receive an update including the results of the initial alternatives assessment and recommendations for the corridor options that will move forward to detailed analysis.

The Health of Lake Ivanhoe

This presentation will come from Princeton Elementary 5th grade students regarding the health of Orlando's lakes and a project to they have undertaken to improve Lake Ivanhoe while also challenging other schools to take responsibility for the health of the lakes in their immediate neighborhoods.

Operation Safety

With railroad tracks bordering both the east and west boundaries of College Park and the potential for SunRail traffic in coming years, this unique presentation on rail safety is highly pertinent to our community.

To submit a suggestion for an agenda item, for a report or announcement or to seek CPNA discussion or endorsement on an issue, please contact us at least one week prior to the meeting by emailing us at president@collegeparkorlando.org.

We hope to see you at the meeting!
