Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council are hosting the grand re-opening of the Dubsdread Golf Course on Thursday, July 10, 2008. Dubsdread opened in 1924 earned its name because the original owner wanted to instill dread in “dubs,” or novice golfers. The re-opening is in honor of the recent renovations to further improve the course rated Orlando’s best public course, 2005 by Orlando Magazine readers.Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on July 10, and the opening ceremonies occur at 9 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. there will be a scramble start, and following the tournament there will be an awards reception at The Tap Room at Dubsdread. Registration fee includes:
Entry fee
Continental breakfast, beverages and snacks
Post-tournament reception
Contests, prizes, awards, and commemorative gift bag
Participation Opportunities:
Corporate foursome – $750 (includes tee sponsor sign)
Foursome – $600
Individual – $150
Member – $125.
