The Board felt that we needed to offer our membership and the community an opportunity to interact with the candidates on November's ballot. For that reason we have decided to hold two meet and greet events in Albert Park on Edgewater Drive. We have done this for many past elections and call the events “Politics in the Park.”

This is the first event, which is scheduled before the “primary” election. The  “primary” election date is August 26th.

The reason quotation marks around primary is that for some positions, non-partisan races and partisan races with no general candidate, the August 26th election is actually the “general” and the November election may or may not be a “run off.”

Some final decisions are reached at the August 26th election so calling it a primary is a little misleading.
